  1. Hello Dear,

Thank you for writing to us at MediMetry.
The World Health Organisation recommends exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months (no formula or other foods). Breastfeeding should continue for up to 2 years, or more - with other foods added from about 6 months.Until around six months of age, breast milk or infant formula meets all of your baby's nutritional needs.
After one year, baby can eat what is cooked at home for family, what we call it 'Family Pot Feeding'.
Now you can introduce your baby to animal milk gradually. Give full fat milk. The consistency of food should be semisolid to soft in natural form. Now there is no need to grind or mash the food items. Meals should consist of healthy food items of cereals, pulses, vegetables, fruits, poultry or meat.
Also, please take care that they should be offered food when they are hungry not to be decided by caregiver in a fixed schedule. There should be no distractions while toddler's feeding. Food should be offered to their plate and they should not eat with parents or any others plate.

Hope this answers your query. Feel free to write back with follow-up questions.
