    As you had mentioned that your child has Thalassemia so his hemoglobin is low. Thalassemia is a genetic disorder of red blood cells where there lifespan get shortened. So hemoglobin remains low. But children also have concomitant iron deficiency due to their low iron rich diet. So consult your doctor for proper evaluation of iron deficiency and iron supplementation, if that is the case. Diet rich in iron like green leafy vegetables, cereals and meat products should be provided. Thalassemia has no cure, you can only take proper care to avoid any other healthy problems.
