    Seafood should be avoided due to its mercury content which is highly risky in pregnancy. Uncooked eggs (in any form such as cake batter, cookie dough, mayonnaise etc) should not be eaten. Beverages like coffee, tea should not be consumed in excess. Unpasteurized milk, or milk products should be avoided to avoid infections. If you are over-weight, avoid eating fat and carbohydrates. Also strictly avoid unwashed fruits and vegetables. Avoid canned or preserved food items. Artificial sweeteners such as aspartame or saccharine should be avoided. Licorise or mulethi can cause untimely uterine contractions, so should be avoided.
