  1. Hello Dear,

Thank you for writing to us at MediMetry.
Excessive weight gain can be associated with hypertension, hypothyroidism, diabetes etc. Indirectly it is associated with IUGR i. e. when fetus lags behind in growth and hence weight.
Though a gap of 1 week in fetal parameters on ultrasound may not be considered significant at 36 weeks. Liquor when measured as AFI (amniotic fluid index ) should be more than 8 as normal. If it's less than 5 we call it oligohydramnios and needs close monitoring. If it's more than 5, take rest, plenty of fluids, high protein diet and monitor your blood pressure or control any other associated medical condition. Accordingly visit your doctor and discuss your options. Follow the advice if it is really serious to induce for delivery or can go ahead with pregnancy.

  2. Hello Dear,

Thank you for writing to us at MediMetry.

At 36 week if ultrasound shows 35 weeks, it is quite normal as plus minus 2 week variability can be there. But in your case as oligohydramnios is also there it can b sign of mild iugr (intrauterine growth retardation), so consult your doctor to find out causes of oligohydramnios and suspected iugr. Your doctor will give you some amino acid supplement and will do certain tests for its management.
