    Bleeding in first trimester is quite common and can be normal implantation bleed (Understand what is Implantation bleed: http://medimetry.com/2015/08/02/implantation-bleeding/)
    Other cause can be sexual trauma, local lesion in vagina or cervix, missed or threatened abortion. Subchorionic bleed when little is sometimes missed on ultrasound and is usually dark coloured.
    If you have fresh blood or clots you need to stay under supervision of your doctor or may be hospitalized.
    If it is painless, slight and your cervix on ultrasound is normal along with fetus, not to worry but take rest and adequate medication prescribed by your doctor.
