Hi and thank you for posting us at Medimetry.You may see if baby's skin is hot to touch.Feel the forehead.Use a digital thermometer under armpit for measuring body temperature.A temperature above 37 degrees celcius (98.6 degress F)is considered as fever.Hold baby in lap to keep baby still and make sure that the thermometer stays in place.The temperature in armpit is 0.5 degree celcius lower than core temperature and temperature measured orally.If baby is overheated or overwrapped then temperature might read higher than it is.Ear and strip thermometers are less likely to be accurate.For safety reasons never use a mercury in glass thermometer.I sincerely hope it helps.Keep us posted.Take care!
