    Fibroid are common tumors of the uterus which are harmful to pregnancy only when they are in the uterine cavity or in the wall when situated at wrong place or are large.
    In first pregnancy or when there is no history of bad pregnancy experience in past with fibroid, they do not interfere with fibroids. Patient is allowed to try for conception as a normal patient. If fibroid is in the cavity, it is to be removed by hysteroscopic resection or other methods.
    Various drugs can be tried to reduce the size of big fibroids if we suspect that they can be harmful to pregnancy.
    Get your scan done to know size, number and position of fibroids. Consult a gynaecologist and plan your pregnancy. Surgery for fibroids is required in cases of infertility or bad obstetric outcomes when everything else does not appear to be the cause.
