  1. Hello Dear,

Thank you for writing to us at MediMetry.
Get an ultrasound done to confirm that everything is fine now and to look for placenta. If placenta is not low lying or there is no evidence of any hemorrhage or internal os is closed with normal cervix length and funneling on ultrasound, you can have a normal life. Spotting at that time may have been due to placental sign or threatened abortion. But as the episode has not recurred, you can have normal activities but avoid exertion, travelling and intercourse. Constipation should be avoided. In case of any discomfort or spotting, visit your doctor.

    • Hello Dear,

As I already discussed, you can do your job avoiding exertion, constipation, trauma, intercourse esp upto 12 weeks. Ideally you should take rest of 2 hours in day and at least 6 hours at night. Maintain healthy lifestyle as nutrition and balanced diet as well as walk 15 to 30 min a day or as comfortable.

Hi dr...i have lost my baby in 13 weeks as cardiac activities were missing. Its an missed abortion. On 29 oct, all abortion formalities were done as my baby was removed. Kindly guide me what i have to do now to conceive again. What is the minimum time required to re conceive as i want to conceive asap n its also safe. Which test i have to gone through to confirm the reason of missed abortion so that same problem mot occurs again in my pregnancy.
    • Hello Dear,

Thank you for writing back to us at MediMetry.
It's unfortunate to lose a pregnancy. I understand your worry. Stay calm and maintain a healthy lifestyle and stay stress free as possible.
Ideally you should wait for your body to recover for 6 months. Get a BOH profile or at least APLA test done at 2 occasions to confirm the diagnosis as per recommendations.
Get a GTT test, thyroid profile done and check your blood pressure.
Visit your doctor for preconception visit and start treatment according to the report if abnormal.
I prefer to use low dose aspirin 75 mg daily along with folic acid 5mg daily in preconception period in such history. APLA positive cases need LMW heparin during pregnancy.
Seek advice of your doctor and follow a healthy lifestyle and diet plan.
