    During pregnancy, it is must to have nutrient rich foods within each of five food groups. Your overall diet should be rich in iron, calcium and minerals.
    Your daily diet should contain 3 cups of milk or its equivalent products. 2 servings of a source of complete protein such as soyabean, eggs, fish or sprouts should be taken. A generous serving of citrus fruits, 2 bowls of green or yellow vegetables should be taken. You should also take care the weight gain is not more than 400 gm per week in 2nd trimester.
    Plenty of water, atleast 4-6 glasses in addition to liquid content consumed in form of milk or soups is highly recommended to avoid constipation.
