Hello and thank you for posting us.Hiccups are common in infants and you need not worry.They usually stop on their own.Swallowing air while feeding can cause hiccups.If baby gets hiccups while feeding take a break and try to help him relax .Burping or moving baby in different positions may help.If hiccups continue for several minutes after you have stopped feeding continuing with feed may help.You may give baby a sip of water if hiccups are more and troubling your baby.Yes R.O water may be given.Give baby exclusive breast feeds and burp him after feeds.If hiccups increase in intensity or are troubling with baby's sleeping and feeding then it is best to get the baby examined.I hope this helps.Take care!
