Hello i got another scan done. Everything is normal. They cannot find a reason for the brown spotting. Although placenta is anterior and its lower end is near the cervix. Doctor advised to do normal routine activities so that the brown discharge flushes out. Is it normal?
    • Hello Dear,

Thank you for writing back to us at MediMetry.

As I already suggested, if everything is fine on ultrasound, it means may be there was some bleed in past. Though now it's not bleeding you can stay normal but for extra precaution, I suggest abstinence and rest from exertion.

  2. Hello Dear,

Thank you for writing to us at MediMetry.
Brown discharge from vagina may be due to some bleeding in the past as fresh bleeding will be red in colour. Get a repeat scan done to confirm the well being and it may be due to some placental bleeding or clot in retroplacental area or local trauma. Get a vaginal speculum examination done for local cause. If fine, still take rest, abstinence, avoid heavy work till symptoms subside and your doctor gives you a green signal.
