    Exclusive breastfeeding is recommended for the first 6 months and then should be continued along with complementary diet as long as 1.5 to 2 years of age. Please note that after the age of one year, main diet of the child should be solid food and breastfeeding has only a complementary role. Babies who are only on breastfeeding and rejecting other food are termed 'Milkaholics". So when you continuing breastfeeding after one year ensure adequate diet other then milk.
