Boil infection during pregnancy.

I’m in my 8th month of my pregnancy and have a boil on my upper part of my stomach. I had been using triderm ointment over the red portion and it pains. I’m using gauze to protect it from being touched and it also relives me from pain. Is it safe to cover it and also is the ointment safe to use? Please help for boil infection in pregnancy.

  1. Hello Dear,

Thank you for writing to us at MediMetry.

You shouldn't treat boil infection by yourself . applying triderm won't heal it . You have to take antibiotics for this. Long term use of triderm is not safe in pregnancy as it contain steroid as one of its ingredient.

Hope this answers your query. Feel free to write back to us with follow-up questions.
