    Teething is generally associated with gum and jaw discomfort as the infant's tooth prepares to erupt through the gum surface. Babies usually become cranky, fussy and do drooling, biting or sucking, and handling of jaw or ear areas. There may be decrease in feeding and frequent awakening during nights. Sometimes head banging is also seen. But please note that fever, cough or cold, loose stools or excessive startling or shivering are not teething symptoms.
    So you should consult your pediatrician and discuss about these symptoms.
