    Upper respiratory infections are mostly viral in etiology. Usual symptoms are runny nose, cough, mild fever and noisy breathing. Symptoms lasts for 5 to 7 days but in some cases it may prolong for 2 to 3 weeks. Child remains well otherwise playful and without any breathing difficulty.
    If symptoms are troublesome then you can try giving steam inhalation or saline nebulization. Honey is not recommended in less then 1 year child. Over the counter cold and cough remedies should not be given by parents without doctors prescription under the age of 2 years.
