Hello and thank you for your question.There are pain receptors on the tongue and in the gut which are stimulated by spicy hot foods.They send pain signals to brain and create burning sensation on the tongue.Some children can be more sensitive to herbs and spices.Try rice dal with ghee sugar.Gradually withdraw sugar and add salt.Wait a few days before introducing a new food.Make him sit with the family during lunch dinner and serve food in separate plate along with other family members.Serve him all food items cooked in small qunatities.Encourage and appreciate him if he starts eating any new food.Though it may take time but gradually he will start eating all foods.Do not worry.
