14 weeks pregnant. Can eat all dry-fruits in pregnancy?

Hello doctor, I am 14 weeks pregnant. I eat soaked almonds in the morning. Can I eat other dry-fruits in pregnancy during the day like anjeer, kaju, pista, prunes, kishmish etc. during the day? Or these are not good for pregnancy?

  1. Hello Dear,

Thank you for writing to us at MediMetry.
You can have soaked anjeer as well as soaked almonds. Both have good amount of fiber and iron content which is essential for good pregnancy. Even you can have peanuts, raisins, dried apricot as these are helpful in improving digestion as well as provide for your iron levels at optimum. Dried bananas and dried apples help in keeping blood pressure under control. These also tone up the muscles. But don’t forget that only handful of nuts is permitted. Everything you consume should be in controlled quantity, just enough to provide for your body’s needs.
